TULSA Research Group

The TULSA Research Group at Turku University Hospital and the University of Turku investigates MRI-guided transurethral ultrasound ablation (TULSA) for prostate diseases, including localized prostate cancer, radiorecurrent prostate cancer, and benign prostatic enlargement. Our work combines advanced MRI guidance, real-time thermometry, and detailed assessment of tissue response with computational and data-driven modelling to enhance the precision, safety, and effectiveness of thermal ablation. Our mission is to develop less invasive, image-guided therapeutic options supported by robust clinical and translational research.
