Biography
Antti Viitala holds dual degrees in Engineering Physics and clinical medicine. He has extensive industry and academic experience in medical technology development and clinical research, with a particular focus on MRI-guided therapeutic ultrasound systems. His PhD project investigates histological, MRI imaging, and clinical changes following ultrasound therapies, in particular Sonalleve treatment for uterine leiomyomas and TULSA treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Alongside his PhD research, he remains actively engaged in clinical practice.
